HOME Delivered Meals

Our Fresh Delivered Meals service is delivering meals to people of all ages, who, through sickness, age and/or disability cannot reasonably get a meal for themselves, and who can remain with dignity and independence in their own homes. There is no means test as eligibility is based on need, according to HACC guidelines. Recipients can receive meals on a long or short term basis, and delivery is five days per week, Monday to Friday.

 WHAT THE SERVICE OFFERS

Fresh Delivered Meals provides a mid-day meal to the recipient in their own home 5 times a week in Hobart, usually Monday to Friday. In Launceston the meals are delivered 3 times a week Monday, Tuesday and Friday. The meals are delivered by volunteer drivers and helpers between the hours of 10am and 1pm, excluding public holidays.

What We Have to offer

Each meal consists of three courses; soup or pasta, main course, bread roll and fruit.

We cater for people with specific dietary needs, such as gluten-free, low fat, vegetarian, allergies and can modified meals for people with conditions such as diabetes and heart disease.

Our Meals

As we cook for a large number of clients every day, our kitchen works off a rotating set menu. This means that although we cook a variety of different meals throughout the week every day we only cook one type of pasta, soup, main course and dietary variations. Therefore we cannot provide an accurate set menu. We appreciate your understanding and provide below an idea of the type of soups, pastas and main meals you might receive.
